setting

Based in Monte Toyon - a fictional rural mountain community in the (sorta fictional) Loma Prieta Mountains in Loma Prieta County. Spread out with smaller areas and neighborhoods, with a population of all the sections adding up to a little over 10,000. Many place names are inspired by real life locations, businesses, parks, and so on. The greater area of combined towns is known as "Loma Prieta".The story sometimes takes place in a local beach town Stone Beach, just west of the mountains/woods, part of Loma Prieta county.Local flora includes oak, tanoak, redwoods, manzanita, sage brush, ferns of all kinds
From late spring to late fall, the air is dry and warm. Winter brings coast gray fog, occasional rain, very rare snow or hail.
Tourists come in the summer to enjoy the swimmable, clean rivers and beautiful forests.

This story & headworld are inspired by my childhood and the area part of family lived and grew up in.
I wanted to recreate it as a fictional furry story to allow others to experience my memories with me. The real life towns are very beloved to me, and I hope they inspire you as well.

Main area for businesses. Mainly one major road, with side streets and small connecting neighborhoods. Covered by trees on the side, with amazing view of Mt. Loma Prieta.

  • Stone Beach the small oceanside town out west. those living in Monte Toyon will often visit for surfing and beach trips, as it's one of the most accessible beach towns and lacking in outside area tourists.
